re you passionate about solving complex distributed systems challenges and architecting high-performance data solutions? We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who can work closely with account executives and customer engineering teams to drive the technical side of the sales cycle for our distributed database platform.
This role blends deep technical expertise with customer engagement, solution prototyping, and architecture advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective customers to understand business drivers, technical challenges, and solution goals.
- Deliver technical presentations, deep-dive whiteboarding, POCs, and competitive evaluations.
- Design scalable, high-availability architectures for distributed database workloads.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to align customer needs with product capabilities.
- Lead technical workshops, support enterprise pilots, and guide customers throughout the evaluation cycle.
- Represent the product in meetups, developer trainings, and community events.
Required Qualifications
Excellent customer-facing communication skills, capable of engaging developers, architects, and CXOs.Strong understanding of Linux environments and enterprise system architecture.Experience with distributed systems — caching, in-memory computing, data grids, or NoSQL.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Kubernetes, Docker).Proficiency in Java, Go, C++, or Python.Background in mission-critical, low-latency systems within finance, telecom, or eCommerce.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Apache Ignite, Redis, Hazelcast, Cassandra, or similar technologies.Experience with SQL and data streaming platforms like Kafka, Flink, or Pulsar.Understanding of memory-first architectures, colocated compute, and large-scale performance tuning.Ability to guide customers on capacity planning, cluster sizing, and performance benchmarking.Passion for teaching and mentoring through blogs, webinars, hackathons, or meetups.Additional Details
