Job description

Job Description :

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Architect to lead the design planning and implementation of enterprise level mainframe systems
  • This role involves providing strategic direction ensuring system scalability and security and integrating mainframe infrastructure with modern technologies

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement robust scalable and secure mainframe architectures
  • Create technical architectural designs and blueprints for mainframe systems
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for mainframe related projects
  • Ensure mainframe systems meet business requirements performance standards and compliance regulations
  • Integrate mainframe systems with distributed platforms and cloud environments
  • Lead modernization initiatives and legacy system transformation
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Mentor and guide mainframe development and operations teams
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware software procurement and maintenance
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into mainframe strategies

    • Technical Requirements :

  • Primary skills Technology Mainframe Technologies Mainframe Technologies ALL

    • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
  • 8 years of experience in mainframe technologies with at least 3 years in an architectural role
  • Expertise in COBOL JCL CICS DB2 IMS and z OS
  • Strong understanding of mainframe infrastructure including LPARs HMC and specialty engines zIIPs zAAPs
  • Experience with performance tuning capacity planning and security protocols
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI CD pipelines in mainframe environments
  • Excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills
