Job Description :

The QA / QC Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation will be responsible for ensuring quality standards and compliance across electrical installations and instrumentation systems in construction projects. This role involves overseeing the activities of General Contractors (GCs) and third-party QA / QC agencies, ensuring adherence to project specification, codes and industry standards. The engineer will monitor construction activities, conducting inspections, review documentation, and verify corrective / preventive actions to maintain the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor and ensure quality compliance of electrical systems (e.g., switchgear, transformers, cabling, grounding) and instrumentation (e.g., sensors, control panels, PLCs).
• Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material approvals in accordance with project specifications and ISO standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and surveillance to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Monitor NCRs and SORs and ensure timely closure of issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of quality records – inspection reports, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), method statements, and material approvals. Verify documentation and maintain quality records for compliance and handover.
• Regularly collaborate with design, GCs, and project management teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions for quality issues.
• Review contractor and supplier submittals related to electrical and instrumentation systems.
