We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in both technical and functional aspects of Great Plains ERP. The ideal candidate will work as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful ERP implementation, optimization, and support across core business modules. This role requires in-depth knowledge of finance, MRP, BOM, and inventory modules, along with the ability to lead system rollouts and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the configuration, rollout, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP.
- Manage core ERP modules including Finance, MRP, BOM, and Inventory.
- Assist with system setup, integration, testing, training, and ongoing support.
- Ensure compliance with SOX standards and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with business teams and leadership to gather requirements and translate them into ERP solutions.
- Conduct business process analysis and propose improvements leveraging Great Plains ERP functionalities.
- Create and maintain project documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Provide end-user training and workshops to ensure adoption and efficiency.
- Handle both functional configurations and basic technical aspects (data extraction, scripting, minor customizations).
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure ERP stability, scalability, and performance.
- Provide troubleshooting support and resolve ERP-related issues.
- Partner with users across Finance, Manufacturing, and Operations to improve ERP-driven processes.
- Participate in global rollouts and support business expansion initiatives.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for deployments and stakeholder meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience : 7-9 years, with minimum 7 years in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP.
Functional : Finance, MRP, BOM, and Inventory modules.
Technical : Basic programming, scripting, and data extraction skills.
Domain Knowledge : Strong understanding of inventory costing and general ledger impacts.
Preferred Industry : Hands-on experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.Strong problem-solving and business analysis capabilities.Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.Microsoft Dynamics certifications (preferred).(ref : hirist.tech)
