Job description

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to join our QA team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software applications manually to ensure they meet functional, performance, and usability requirements.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify defects, validate fixes, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare test cases.
  • Design, document, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Identify, log, and track software defects / bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure software stability.
  • Execute functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving software usability and functionality.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews in Agile environments.

Technical Skills Required :

  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, UAT).
  • Hands-on experience in manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center).
  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases, test scripts, and bug reports.
  • Basic understanding of databases, SQL queries, and API testing is a plus
