Job Summary :
Looking for an experienced iOS XR Developer to create immersive and intelligent XR applications combining AR / VR, 3D avatars, and AI-driven conversational experiences. This role requires expertise in both native iOS frameworks such as RealityKit and ARKit, as well as Unity for XR development. The ideal candidate will be skilled in integrating speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies, working with large language models (LLMs) to drive avatar interactions, and delivering high-quality 3D animations and lip sync for avatars.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain iOS XR applications using Xcode, RealityKit, ARKit, and Unity.
- Build and implement interactive 3D avatars that respond dynamically to inputs generated by LLMs or scripted scenarios.
- Integrate speech recognition (STT) and speech synthesis (TTS) solutions using platforms like Amazon Polly, Azure Cognitive Services, or Apple’s native frameworks.
- Develop precise lip sync and facial animation systems using blend shapes, visemes, and other 3D animation techniques.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data services for dynamic content delivery.
- Optimize application performance for real-time XR rendering and smooth user experiences on iOS devices.
- Work closely with UX / UI designers and 3D artists to ensure immersive and visually compelling experiences.
- Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and testing to ensure robustness and scalability.
- Stay updated with emerging XR, AI, and speech technologies to continuously improve product capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
3+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications with Swift and Xcode.Strong expertise with RealityKit, ARKit, and SceneKit for native iOS XR development.Proficient in Unity 3D for XR applications, including scripting with C#.Hands-on experience with 3D character animation, blend shapes, rigging, and facial animation techniques.Practical experience integrating speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) services such as Amazon Polly, Azure Speech, or equivalent.Experience with lip sync implementation aligned with speech input for avatar realism.Familiarity with backend integration (REST, GraphQL, WebSocket) to support dynamic application content.Understanding of large language models (LLMs) for generating conversational or scenario-based text inputs.Solid debugging and performance optimization skills specific to XR environments on iOS.Good understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and App Store policies.
