Alcor Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Lead ServiceNow Developer with deep expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB / CSDM, and integrations . This role requires both hands-on technical delivery and leadership in guiding junior developers and peers .
What You’ll Do
You will play a critical role in driving Discovery, CMDB governance, integrations, and service mapping implementations . The Lead Developer will ensure our CMDB is a reliable foundation for Event Management, AIOps, and IT Operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Discovery & Service Mapping
- Lead the implementation and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Create and troubleshoot patterns and probes for complex infrastructure components.
- Configure Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP) including tag governance and policy alignment.
- Leverage Discovery and CMDB Admin Workspaces for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing discovery schedules.
- Design and maintain Service Maps to support operational, change, and impact analysis.
- Troubleshoot and optimize MID Server communication, ensuring high availability and secure connectivity.
CMDB & CSDM Governance
Ensure CMDB integrity by designing and implementing CMDB governance processes.Align CMDB with CSDM standards for service modelling and impact analysis.Configure and maintain Service Graph Connectors, Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules, and robust transform maps.Drive CMDB compliance and audits, ensuring data quality, completeness, and accuracy.Integration & AutomationImplementation experience of Agent Client Collector (ACC)Experience of REST integrations, PowerShell, and JavaScript for automation and workflows.Leadership & Collaboration :
Provide technical leadership and guidance to ServiceNow developers.Conduct peer reviews, enforce coding best practices, and drive knowledge sharing across the team.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (network, cloud, security, and operations teams).Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure sprint deliverables are met with high quality.Required Experience & Skills :
7+ years of ServiceNow development and implementation experience.Strong expertise in :ServiceNow Discovery & Service Mapping (pattern design & troubleshooting).CMDB / CSDM frameworks and governance.MID Server architecture and troubleshooting.Service Graph Connectors, IRE Rules, and Transform Maps.REST / SOAP integrations, JavaScript, and PowerShell scripting.Agent Client Collector (ACC).Solid understanding of network communication protocols, credential management, firewalls, and security models.Experience with Cloud Discovery, Tag Governance, and CMDB optimization.Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Preferred Qualifications :
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery and Service Mapping.ServiceNow Certified Application Developer / System Administrator.
