Location : Mumbai (Airoli), India

Work Mode : Hybrid (3 Days Work from Office)

Shift : UK Shift

Employment Type : Full-Time

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Azure Data Architect to design, implement, and manage robust, scalable data architecture solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data engineering, architecture design, and cloud-based analytics, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that drive actionable insights.

This role involves leading end-to-end data architecture initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring engineers to ensure best practices in data governance, security, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures on Microsoft Azure.
  • Architect and optimize data pipelines, data lakes, and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and related technologies.
  • Lead data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration from multiple on-premises and cloud systems.
  • Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards across the data ecosystem.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and analytics teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
  • Design and implement data warehouse and BI solutions leveraging Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Power BI.
  • Develop data models and schemas to support analytics, reporting, and predictive modeling initiatives.
  • Utilize Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) for visualization, automation, and business insights.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging data and cloud technologies to enhance platform efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams, promoting best practices in architecture and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics, with at least 5 years in Azure-based environments.
  • Proven hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power Platform.
  • Strong proficiency in data modeling, warehousing, and architecture design principles.
  • Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and other data integration and ETL tools.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and security frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across global teams and time zones (UK shift).

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI / CD in data projects.
  • Knowledge of Python, PySpark, or Scala for data transformation and automation.
  • Familiarity with machine learning workflows or integration with Azure ML.
  • Experience designing real-time streaming solutions using tools like Event Hubs or Kafka.
