Position : API Developer.

Location : Remote with quarterly visit to Chennai office.

Duration : Contractor and Full Time both option available.

Client is actively searching for an experienced API Developer who will leverage their enterprise technology skills to develop business solutions within the healthcare industry.

The API Developer will have strong skills in IBM API Connect to develop API Provider artifacts such as API and Product definitions, and API Consumer artifacts such as Applications and Subscriptions.

The developer may also be called upon from time to time to build and support enterprise shared common services and to support and expand the capabilities of Client's enterprise API Connect API Gateway.

This is an opportunity to help build an enterprise-wide API Gateway solution, to develop services and automation to support both that platform and specific applications which utilize it, and to develop other enterprise level services.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, motivated, and comfortable working both independently and in small team settings.

You will be collaborating with development teams across the enterprise to develop APIs and API services which utilize our API Connect platform.

The API Developer will provide technical leadership in our agile development teams.

The role will include dealing with complex business integrations, eliciting requirements, and implementing secure and high performance services consumed by various devices and applications across the organization.

The applicant will drive the evolution of our solutions and ensure that we meet our internal and external clients' software requirements.

• Bachelor Degree or higher in computer science or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years experience as a software engineer.
• 5+ years experience in Java and / or .NET.
• 3+ years of enterprise-level software development.
• 2+ years experience with API Connect required; Experience with the API Connect DataPower API Gateway is a must; experience with APIC version 2018 or version 10 is required.
• In-depth knowledge of the Open API 2.0 standard required; familiarity with Open API 3.0 or later is a plus.
• 3+ years experience with JavaScript; experience with both UI and non-UI usage of JavaScript is preferred.
• An In-depth knowledge of both UI development and service implementation is preferred.
• Work as a multi-skilled professional practicing Agile / SCRUM methodologies.
• Passion for collaboration and working on agile teams.
• Good documentation skills are a :
• Software development, in Java, C#, JavaScript, or shell scripting languages.
• Development of APIs to support various solutions throughout the enterprise.
• Development of enterprise APIs to support the API Connect platform.
• Designs complex RESTful web services, IBM API Connect (APIC) and AWS API Gateway configurations, while being part of cross functional and agile development teams.
• Conducts complex impact analysis.
• Contributes complex / innovative technical alternatives.
• Development of other enterprise shared services.
• Development of scripts and tools to facilitate build and deployment automation for integration into our enterprise DevOps solution.
• Development of framework libraries which implement, or simplify the implementation of, various enterprise security patterns, especially those related to API Connect.
• Assisting development teams throughout the enterprise with the use of API Connect, from both an API client and API provider perspective.
• Work with minimal supervision enabling technical team.
• Pushes the envelope with creative and innovative thinking.
