Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Software Engineer

with strong expertise in

AS400 (IBM iSeries)

systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting applications on the AS400 platform, ensuring high performance and reliability for business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on AS400.

Design, develop, and maintain RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE programs.

Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

Optimize performance and ensure scalability of AS400 applications.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

Required Skills :

Minimum 3-10 years of hands-on experience in AS400 development.

Strong proficiency in RPG (IV / LE / Free), CLLE, and SQLRPGLE programming.

Experience with DB2 / 400 and SQL.

Good understanding of AS400 architecture and system utilities.

Familiarity with change management tools like Turnover or equivalent.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of web services integration with AS400.
