Location : Mumbai

Job Description

We are seeking a Security Engineer (L3) with 8+ years of experience in enterprise security operations. The candidate will manage Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls , perform L3 troubleshooting, enforce security policies, and support secure network operations across enterprise or data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L3 support for Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and security devices.
  • Configure and maintain firewall rules, NAT policies, security zones, and access controls .
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents .
  • Assist in security architecture, segmentation, and threat prevention policy enforcement .
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring security issues.
  • Maintain security documentation, runbooks, and SOPs .
  • Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and application teams for secure deployments.
  • Participate in firewall upgrades, migration, and change management projects .

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years in enterprise security and firewall management.
  • Hands-on experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls .
  • Strong knowledge of VPNs, NAT, firewall policies, and security zones .
  • Experience with IPS / IDS, threat prevention, and URL filtering .
  • L3-level troubleshooting and incident handling expertise.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, logging, and reporting .
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • CCSE / CCSE NGX (Checkpoint) or PCNSE (Palo Alto) certifications.
  • Experience in multi-site or data center security environments .
  • Basic knowledge of automation or scripting for firewall management.
