Power BI Developer - Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI and related technologies, and will work closely with stakeholders to deliver interactive dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Perform advanced data transformations using Power Query and DAX.

Integrate Power BI reports into other platforms such as SharePoint and Teams.

Ensure data security and governance using row-level security and role-based access.

Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to acquire and clean data.

Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities.

Document processes and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Proficient in Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Mobile).

Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query for advanced calculations and data transformations.

Experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data from relational databases.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or SQL Server).

Optional : Experience with other BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, or similar.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

Understanding of programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus.
