About the Project :
The School Transformation Project aims to ensure sustainable school transformation through strong learning outcomes, empowered teachers, and renewed enrolment.
The initiative focuses on improving school processes, enhancing classroom practices, and strengthening leadership to create a lasting positive impact on the learning environment.
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Associate will play a key role in ensuring the effective and high-quality implementation of the School Transformation Project. The associate will be relocated to and based at a designated school area, working closely with the school team, and the program team to strengthen school processes and support holistic improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Be stationed full-time at the designated school to oversee daily implementation of the transformation activities.
- Support the headteacher and teachers in adopting and sustaining new practices introduced through the program.
- Monitor progress on identified focus areas (school leadership, pedagogy, data use, school culture, etc.) and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Facilitate school-level review meetings, capacity-building sessions, and stakeholder interactions.
- Collect and share evidence, data, and insights from the school to inform program quality and decision-making.
- Ensure fidelity to program design, timelines, and quality standards.
- Serve as the bridge between the school, the project team, and the School Management
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in education, Development Studies, Social Work, or related field3–5 years of experience in school improvement, teacher mentoring, or education project implementation.Strong understanding of school functioning and government education systems.Excellent relationship-building, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.Ability and willingness to relocate and stay at the assigned school location full-time.Good communication skills in English and Tamil (written and spoken).Comfortable with using digital tools for data collection, reporting, and communication.Other Details :
Location : TiruchendurType : Full-time, field-based position (1-year renewable contract)Remuneration : 7 to 10 LPAThe salary will be computed considering the following conditions :
All costs associated with travel within Tiruchendur and travel to / from Chennai and Tiruchendur will be borne by the Senior Associate.Accommodation may be provided during stay in Chennai for attending any training or review meetings.Travel to and from other districts for fulfilling project requirements will be reimbursed as per the organization’s travel policy.
