The Cable Design Head will spearhead the Product Design and Engineering function for power cables, encompassing LT, HT, CC, and EHV categories. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving innovation, cost optimization, and the development of customer-centric design solutions. The incumbent will lead the design and development of new products in alignment with project specifications and business objectives, deliver technical expertise and support to the sales and marketing teams, and mentor and guide a high-performing engineering team to achieve excellence in product performance, reliability, and compliance..

Key responsibilities :

• Lead the design and engineering of LT, HT, CC, and EHV power cables.
• Develop new cable products aligned with customer projects, market trends, and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international standards (IS, IEC, BS, etc.).
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to deliver technical support for cable system design.
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and propose cost-effective, technically robust solutions.
• Represent the organization in technical discussions, presentations, and customer audits.
• Drive continuous improvement in designs for cost optimization and performance enhancement.
• Strengthen work systems and practices to improve speed, agility, and cost efficiency.
• Coach and mentor the design team to build strong internal technical capabilities.
