Job description

Position Title : Senior AppDynamics Observability SME

Required Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or engineering
  • 3 + years experience leading people and / or leading large-scale projects
  • 2+ years experience working with automation concepts and tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Python to develop configuration, deployment, and orchestration workflows

Specific Skill-Set Requirements :

In specific with AppDynamics experience with :

machine agent installation and troubleshooting (Windows and Linux at minimum)

app agent installation, and troubleshooting (mainly Java, .NET, Node JS, etc.)

db agent installation, troubleshooting and db collector configuration.

End User monitoring (nice to have)

Synthetics (nice to have)

Post agent enablement tasks :

AppD Application config customization (including BTs, Thresholds, BT detection, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proven expertise in observability, monitoring, and performance management of large-scale, distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of modern observability tools (e.g., App Dynamics, Cisco Cloud Observability, Prometheus, Grafana,

    • App Dynamics, ELK stack, DynaTrace, New Relic) and related practices

  • Experience with both legacy systems and modern cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices, serverless)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical teams and

    • business stakeholders, presenting findings and plans, and documenting systems and processes

  • Ability to own problems end-to-end, and willingness to obtain any required knowledge to get the job done
  • Ability to lead matrix teams to achieve complex goals with a strong sense of accountability and integrity
  • Ability to break down complex issues and develop innovative, comprehensive solutions
  • Excellent project and program management skills, with a track record of leading complex initiatives to successful

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and improvements
