The Role
Write short, conversion-focused emails that drive opens, clicks, and revenue, then improve them with testing and data.
What You'll Do
- Draft high-performing copy for lifecycle flows : welcome, onboarding, abandoned cart / browse, post-purchase, cross-sell, win back, re-engagement, and promos.
- Write subject lines, preheaders, CTA variants when needed.
- Follow brand voice guidelines; adapt tone across multiple brands if required.
- Set up simple A / B tests (subject lines, hooks, offers, CTA placement) and log results.
- User performance data to iterate, no 'set and forget.'
- Keep a ruthless content calendar and hit deadlines.
- Maintain basic compliance (CAN-SPAM / GDPR) and accessibility (readability, alt text).
Must-Haves
Strong command of concise, skimmable copy; zero tolerance for fluff or typos.Comfortable using personalization tokens / variables and testing frameworks.Data-literate : you understand open rate vs. CTR vs. CVR vs. RPR and what to do next.Fast, coachable, and okay with multiple revisions.What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
10–20% lift in open / CTR on key flows within 60–90 days.Regular test cadence : minimum 2 meaningful tests / week with documented learnings.Output : 10–15 emails / week (including variations) without quality drop.Skills Required
