This role is with a leading global High-Frequency Trading Hedge fund firm (client name cannot be disclosed).

Candidates must be from Tier-1 institutes only (IITs, NITs, BITS, MIT).

For candidates with less than 1 year of experience , a minimum 9.0 CGPA is mandatory.

Only the following branches are eligible : Computer Science, Mathematics & Computing, and Information Technology .

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled SMT (Data) professional with strong programming and analytical expertise. The role involves building scalable systems, managing large datasets, and working closely with interdisciplinary teams in an agile setup. This position is also open for candidates seeking to restart their careers through our Recommence program, a gender-neutral return-to-work initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data-driven software solutions using Python (or similar programming languages).

Work with big data platforms and relational databases.

Apply knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to solve complex challenges.

Debug, optimize, and ensure high-quality, scalable applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively manage stakeholder communication.

Deliver results independently with focus and discipline.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

2–4 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages with strong coding and debugging skills.

Experience with big data tools and relational database management systems.

Solid understanding of software development principles, architecture, and agile methodologies.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with financial markets.
