Job description

The SAP MM Consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP Materials Management (MM) module to optimize procurement, inventory management, and related supply chain processes. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and integration with other SAP modules to ensure seamless business operations and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze business processes and requirements to tailor SAP MM functionalities accordingly.
  • Configure and customize SAP MM modules including material master data, purchasing, inventory management, and invoice verification.
  • Lead or support SAP MM implementation and upgrade projects, ensuring system robustness and compliance with best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams managing SAP SD, PP, FI, and WM modules to ensure integrated operations.
  • Perform system testing, develop test cases, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users to maximize system adoption and efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize workflows.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including process flows, configuration guides, and user manuals.
  • Participate in business process re-engineering and continuous improvement initiatives using SAP tools.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in SAP MM implementation, configuration, and support.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, vendor management, and invoice verification within SAP MM.
  • Experience integrating SAP MM with other modules such as SD, PP, FI, CO, and WM.
  • SAP MM Certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP data migration tools like LSMW or SAP Data Services is a plus.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Deep knowledge of SAP MM functionalities and configuration (material master, purchase orders, stock management).
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori, ABAP basics, and SAP S / 4HANA enhancements is advantageous.
  • Competence in SAP workflow management and system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to utilize SAP reporting tools such as SAP BW or SAP Analytics Cloud.
