Job Title : Plant Head – Manufacturing (Injection Moulding, Powder Coating & Fabrication)

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished manufacturing leader to head our Manesar plant, which produces injection-moulded components, powder-coated parts, fabricated assemblies, and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills, capable of driving productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency across diverse manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

Develop and implement monthly and weekly master production schedules, balancing machine loading across injection moulding presses, fabrication lines, and coating booths.

Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and optimize resource utilization for maximum output.

2. Process & Technical Expertise

Apply deep process knowledge to troubleshoot mould changeovers, cycle-time issues, cosmetic defects, and dimensional accuracy in injection moulding operations.

Optimize powder coating parameters for uniform coverage, adhesion, and finish quality.

Oversee fabrication processes, ensuring precision, structural integrity, and welding quality standards.

3. Quality & Compliance

Implement robust in-process quality checks and maintain compliance with ISO, customer standards, and third-party audits, ensuring zero major non-conformities.

Lead root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and implement strong process controls to maintain consistent quality.

4. People Leadership & Safety

Plan and allocate daily manpower, maintain skill-adjusted coverage, and develop line supervisors and technicians through coaching and training in 5S, TPM, and best practices.

Foster a zero-accident, high-engagement culture, ensuring compliance with all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols.

5. Maintenance & OEE

Approve and monitor the preventive maintenance calendar for moulding machines, coating booths, fabrication equipment, and utilities to achieve ≥90% Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Drive continuous equipment reliability improvement and minimize unplanned downtime.

6. Cost Control & Reporting

Control variable costs per part, energy consumption, and scrap levels, driving year-on-year cost reductions.

Prepare and present weekly MIS reports on production vs. plan, yield, downtime Pareto, labour productivity, and inventory health to senior management.

7. Continuous Improvement & Projects

Lead Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives, delivering ≥5% year-on-year productivity improvements.

Mentor Green Belt teams and champion process automation, layout optimization, and waste elimination projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education : B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Plastics, Polymer, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience : 10–15 years in manufacturing, with minimum 5 years in plant leadership or production management.

Technical Expertise :

Proven hands-on experience in injection moulding, powder coating, and fabrication (welding, metalworking).

Strong understanding of fixture-based assemblies, tooling, and process optimization.
