Role : Costing & MIS Analyst (Manufacturing / Industrial Products)
Responsibilities :
- Perform daily Sales and Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) analysis, comparing actual vs. standard costs, and identify key cost drivers affecting profitability. Prepare summaries to support management decisions.
- Carry out Work-in-Progress (WIP) valuation on a periodic basis, ensuring accuracy in inventory accounting. Conduct variance analysis for material, labor, and overhead to highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze the COGM-related General Ledger (GL) accounts in the Profit & Loss statement, validating account balances, allocations, and cost postings. Coordinate with Finance and Plant teams to ensure correctness of entries and month-end closing.
- Review spare parts and wear part pricing periodically. Evaluate cost changes, market pricing trends, and margin impacts. Propose price revisions aligned with profitability, cost recovery, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct sales order-level profitability analysis, covering margins, contribution, cost absorption, and discounts. Provide insights to Sales and Commercial teams for pricing decisions and deal approvals.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of MIS reports, dashboards, and cost performance summaries for management review. Support weekly / monthly business reviews with clear data interpretation and recommendations.
Qualifications
Min 5 - 12 years of experience in costing within engineering industries.Strong ability to influence stakeholders effectively.Proficiency and comfort with numerical data.Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.Hands-on experience with Excel.Knowledge of SAP is essential.Experience in report preparation and analysis.Educational Qualifications
B.Com in any specialization.ICWA (CMA) in any specialization.Skills Required
