As we scale, we’re looking for a Human Resources Manager who can bring structure, maturity, and people-centric leadership to a rapidly expanding organization, while ensuring our internal culture and external brand remain aligned.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager will lead the end-to-end HR function for Newlight Solutions in India. This includes strengthening people operations, managing recruitment, building a positive work environment, and supporting leadership with insights and organisational structure. Alongside core HR responsibilities, this role will also oversee the company’s social media posting calendar to ensure employer branding and team updates are consistently shared in a professional, timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical and non-technical roles.
- Forecast hiring needs with leadership and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Build structured interview processes, scorecards, and onboarding experiences.
People Operations (Zoho People is already implemented)
Oversee attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and HRMS operations.Manage employee records, contract preparation, and statutory compliance.Implement and maintain policies for performance, conduct, and employee support.Culture Building & Engagement
Strengthen Newlight’s culture of clarity, ownership, and excellence.Organise engagement activities, internal events, and communication rhythms.Support new joiners during onboarding and ensure smooth integration in the first 90 days.Performance Management (Zoho Payroll is already implemented)
Drive a structured performance review cycle.Support managers in goal-setting and capability development.Track KPIs and execute appraisal, promotion, and reward cycles.HR Compliance & Governance
Maintain compliance with labour laws, EPF / ESI, and statutory guidelines.Keep documentation audit-ready and coordinate with finance and compliance teams.Social Media & Employer Branding
Oversee the scheduling, posting, and basic coordination of Newlight’s social media content across LinkedIn and Instagram.Ensure regular updates on company news, team moments, achievements, and culture initiatives.Work closely with leadership and the social media team to maintain a professional and consistent brand presence.Support employer branding initiatives to strengthen Newlight’s attractiveness to top talent.Leadership Support
Partner with founders on organisational planning and people strategy.Identify training needs and support employee development.Provide reliable people insights to help leadership make informed decisions.What Success Looks Like

3+ years of HR experience, preferably in IT / consulting / tech environments.Strong knowledge of HR operations, recruitment, compliance, and engagement.Familiarity with social media coordination or employer branding is a plus.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership.Prior experience in fast-growing companies is advantageous.Why Newlight Solutions
