About the Role :

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Finance & Accounts team in the role of Direct Taxation. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, including preparation and filing of returns, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting tax assessments and audits across the organization.

What You’ll Do :

• Ensure timely preparation and filing of TDS returns in compliance with statutory timelines.
• Assist in the filing of income tax returns and audits under applicable income tax laws.
• Support activities related to income tax assessments, notices, and appeals, including visits to tax offices as required.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping of tax-related transactions and perform reconciliations between books and filed returns.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for matters related to income tax audits, returns, and other related compliances.
• Liaise with consultants on various tax compliance activities and ensure timely completion.
• Partner with finance teams across hospital units to ensure adherence to Income Tax laws and internal policies.
• Assist in knowledge sharing sessions with finance teams to build awareness and understanding of tax compliance requirements.
• Support the implementation of centralized processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in income tax compliance.
• Perform other routine activities related to direct taxation as required.
