Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and motivated

Database Professional

with hands-on experience in

Amazon Redshift

and

MySQL

to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex database systems that power data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop database objects (tables, views, procedures, UDFs) in

Amazon Redshift

and

MySQL .

Write, test, and optimize complex

SQL queries

and data pipelines.

Fine tune slow queries and in different scenarios to achieve best performance.

Data life-cycle management for high volume system with the help of Data Partitioning.

Rolling out various schema changes across environments.

Build and maintain

ETL / ELT workflows

to ingest data from various sources into Redshift / MySql

Support

data migration

from legacy MySQL systems to Redshift-based warehouse.

Analyze and resolve performance issues, including indexing and query optimization.

Ensure

data quality, integrity, and consistency

across systems.

Maintain schema documentation and data lineage information.

Work closely with different teams to fulfill data requirements.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

3–6 years of hands-on experience in

database development

using

Amazon Redshift

and

MySQL

OR any other RDBMS systems.

Experience in handling large volume of databases is plus.

Experience in

SQL

query writing and Python coding. Should be able to debug the code.

Proficient in writing stored procedures, Triggers, views, and custom functions.

Should be result oriented and available on critical situations.

Monitor, analyze, and improve

query performance

using EXPLAIN, vacuum, analyze, WLM queues, and distribution styles.

Familiarity with

data migration , replication, and CDC (change data capture) concepts.

Preferred Skills : Experience with

MySQL, AWS Redshift ,

Python

or

Shell scripting

or any other programing language for automation.

Exposure to ETL tools and

AWS Cloud ,

Apache Airflow , or

custom pipelines .

Familiarity with

data lake

architecture and S3 integrations.

Knowledge of

access control and permissions

management in Redshift and MySQL.

Soft Skills :

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
