Job Description : Payroll Implementation Functional Expert

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Implementation Functional design resource to oversee and manage large-scale payroll projects, with a focus on countries such as South Africa, Turkey, and other African regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional and technical understanding of payroll processes, experience in SuccessFactors Employee Central, and expertise in Agile methodologies. This role requires exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills to ensure the successful design, testing, and deployment of payroll solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Payroll Functional Expertise :

Possess in-depth functional knowledge of payroll processes, particularly for South Africa, Turkey, and other African countries.

Understand and address country-specific payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and business needs.

Project Management :

Lead large-scale payroll project implementations, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, including design, testing, cutover, data migration, and deployment.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

Engage with business stakeholders to gather payroll requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.

Collaborate with developers, testers, and other team members to ensure requirements are implemented effectively.

SuccessFactors Expertise :

Leverage understanding of SuccessFactors Employee Central as the HR system of record.

Ensure seamless integration between HR and payroll systems.

Agile Product Delivery :

Utilize Agile methodologies to manage project delivery.

Create and manage JIRA tickets, write story points, and drive them to completion.

Testing And Quality Assurance :

Lead system testing efforts, including writing test scripts, creating test cases in JIRA, and coordinating with stakeholders to complete testing.

Ensure high-quality deliverables by identifying and resolving issues during testing phases.

Roadmap And Process Design :

Contribute to the creation and refinement of payroll and HR process roadmaps.

Design user journey-based solutions that align with business goals and enhance user experience.

Problem Solving And Communication :

Apply structured and objective thinking to solve complex payroll and system-related challenges.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills :

Qualifications and Experience :

Functional Expertise :

Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations in South Africa, Turkey, and other African countries.

Experience in managing payroll implementations at scale.

Understanding of SuccessFactors Employee Central.

Proficiency in JIRA, including creating tickets, writing story points, and managing workflows.

Project Management :

Proven ability to lead large-scale payroll projects, including design, testing, and deployment phases.

Experience in Agile product delivery and working in cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Management :

Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders, influence change, and drive solutions to completion.

Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage expectations effectively.

Testing And Quality Assurance :

Experience in writing and executing system test scripts and managing testing processes.

Other Skills :

Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in designing and influencing HR and payroll process roadmaps.

Familiarity with payroll systems and integrations in a global context.

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in African countries.

Education :

Degrees in Computer Science, Business or equivalent degree from a top tier university.
