Position : AI Tutor – Pure Math Specialist
Type : Full-time
Compensation : $90,000–$200,000 / year
Location : Palo Alto, CA (in-office, 5 days per week) or Remote
Commitment : 40 hours / week
Role Responsibilities
- Use proprietary tools to label, annotate, and evaluate mathematical data and problem sets.
- Contribute to AI training tasks that strengthen reasoning across pure math domains.
- Collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation tools and workflows.
- Select and create problems from areas such as abstract algebra, real and complex analysis, topology, or graph theory.
- Evaluate model-generated solutions and provide detailed feedback for improvement.
- Interpret evolving task instructions and maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Master's or PhD in Mathematics specializing in pure math, or a medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) or similar high-level math competition.Strong ability to read and write both formal and informal English.Skilled in navigating academic databases, research resources, and mathematical literature.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and make sound judgments with limited context.Passion for technological innovation and the advancement of AI research.Preferred
PhD in Mathematics with a focus on pure mathematics.Publications in peer-reviewed mathematical journals.Experience teaching mathematics or mentoring students at the college level.Prior work in AI training, tutoring, or technical writing.Compensation & Legal
