Role : AIX Admin

Exp : 8 to 12 Years

Location : Hyderabad

Venue : TCS Hyderabad

Software Units Layout, Hitech City, Madhapur-Hyderabad 500081.

JD :

• 5 - 8 years of experience in IBM AIX Server Administration
• As this is for a L2 requirement, candidates should have strong skills in installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of all areas of IBM AIX Server including high availability, replication, disaster recovery, patching, backup & recovery, performance tuning, optimizing, and securing AIX Servers in a large environment.
• Administer and maintain AIX systems including LVM, HACMP ,VIO servers, and HMC.
• Perform OS upgrades and patching on AIX and Red Hat Linux systems.
• Configure and manage IBM Pacemaker clusters for high availability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across AIX and Linux environments.
• Manage logical volumes, file systems, and storage configurations.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and implement system hardening practices.
• Extensive knowledge on IBM HMc and firmware upgrades
• Strong knowledge on AIX upgrades from 7.2 to 7.3 and Vio version upgrades
• Installation of redhat linux servers using Kickstart and AIX servers through NIM.
• Excellent documentation skills. Should have prior experience in creating design documents, SOPs etc.
• Flexible working in 24x7 operations (working in shifts, on-call support etc.)
• Should have excellent communication and presentation skills as the candidate needs to work with Architects, Service Owners, Business Partners and other technical teams
• Good understanding of ITIL processes Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management (ITIL)
• Flexible to learn other technologies as per project requirements
