Deputy Manager & Assistant Manager - Underwriting

Key Job Responsibilities-

• Underwriting of Medical and Non-Medical cases as per the guidelines.
• Assessment of risk as per the company's philosophy and supporting guidelines.
• Adhering to agreed TAT for processing of cases.
• Maintaining quality of underwriting
• Handling of projects allocated.
• Mentoring of underwriters
• Adhering to authorized limits and maintaining uniformity in underwriting
• Active participation in revision of underwriting guidelines and process
• Managing Centralized and Decentralized underwriting audits, responsible for accuracy compliance.
• Managing Retail Underwriting activity ensuring the TATs and Quality percentages are complied with.
• Managing the responsibility of designing / modifying the existing Underwriting guidelines of Life Insurance
• Coach and monitor Team leads in day-to-day operations.
• Analyze reports for team performance on processes.
• Escalate issues in a timely manner across functions and suggest alternative approach
• Enhancement of underwriting knowledge through reference manuals, trainings, exams and other available means.
