Director Engineering

Role Overview :

Position : Director Engineering
Reporting to : Senior Vice President of Technology
Primary Responsibility : Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable technology solutions, while mentoring and managing a team of technical leads, full-stack engineers, and architects.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable technology solutions.

Drive best engineering and operational practices.

Lead and mentor a team of technical leads, full-stack engineers, and architects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, analytics, business units) to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.

Provide strategic direction and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Ensure data integrity, security, scalability, efficiency, and availability across platforms.

Stay current with emerging technologies (AI / ML) and integrate them into the product.

Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications :

15+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 4+ years in a management role.

Strong leadership and management skills, especially in globally distributed teams.

Experience with Agile methodologies and a passion for high-quality software delivery.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects independently.

Desired Attributes :

Strong customer focus, multitasking ability, and a desire to learn and implement best practices.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Proven ability to lead and mentor technology teams, including full-stack engineers, technical leads, and architects.
