SAP EWM Functional Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and configure SAP EWM solutions according to business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with S / 4HANA and key modules (PP, MM, TM).
  • Lead full-cycle project deliveries, from blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, and configuration, to go-live and hypercare support.
  • Interface SAP EWM with production planning (PP), managing processes such as production staging, consumption posting, and receipt of finished goods.
  • Drive automation, data migration, and functional enhancement projects targeting continuous improvement and business value.
  • Oversee advanced production integration, including Kanban, delivery-based supply, and process order workflows for optimized intra-warehouse movements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, align process designs, and deliver tailored solutions for manufacturing and warehousing.
  • Develop and execute test plans, provide user training, and document system configurations and user procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and project sustainability.
  • Manage project teams, scope, budget, and customer expectations, delivering value through solution architecture and proactive change management.
  • Apply deep knowledge of SAP best practices in EWM, production integration, and inventory management to drive compliance and operational excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM implementations, with substantial exposure to S / 4HANA embedded or decentralized environments.
  • Strong functional expertise in production integration : master data setup, delivery-based supply, goods receipt processing, and advanced automation.
  • Demonstrated ability in project and team leadership, requirement analysis, solution blueprinting, configuration, and cutover activities.
  • Proven skills integrating SAP EWM with manufacturing (PP), transportation (TM), inventory management (IM), and supporting middleware / interfaces.
  • Experience with serial numbers, batch management, handling units, RF, and warehouse automation technologies.
  • Effective communications, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive project success in diverse industries (manufacturing, logistics, retail, pharma).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • BE / B.tech / MCA / M.Sc. / MS with minimum 3 years of relevant IT-experience post
