This role is for an Engineer – Investment Data Platform.

The Engineer role will encompass building high quality software that aligns to requirements. Working in a highly collaborative, agile environment, you will work in a high performing data team to review user stories and subsequently implement the feature / artefact. You will be responsible for incorporating and adapting unit testing and releasing your changes in a controlled manner. You will utilise critical thinking skills to solve business and technical problems. Individual with the right blend of software engineering skills and knowledge to help us expand our data services by building end to end solutions for our stakeholders.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

• Assisting or Contributing to the delivery of software that delivers a business outcome and is designed, implemented and tested to the team’s standards as per the SDLC for the Data Platform.
• Provide technical assistance in maintaining existing data platform artefacts and infrastructure, carrying out continuous improvement / enhancements, as relevant.
• Providing a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders, further developing skills built through significant practical experience or training.
• Adapting, understanding and following data engineering best practise.
• Demonstrate a ownership and commitment to build efficient / scalable / extensible / robust software / data platform.
• Working within established frameworks and procedures.
• Delivering outcomes that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them.
• Participating / assisting development of solutions to the end consumer, being part of a high performing team comprising of requirements gathering, data modelling, data integration, software engineering, testing and release oversight.
• Maintaining strong relationships within the team, key stakeholders across the business and other teams across Asset Management Technology & Change.
