The Senior Program Manager – Data Centre Infrastructure will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale physical infrastructure projects within data centers. This includes managing build-outs of cages, racks, structured cabling, power distribution, cooling systems, and related physical infrastructure components. The role requires strong coordination with internal engineering teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of infrastructure within operational data centers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data center infrastructure programs comprising multiple projects (e.g., new customer cage builds, expansions, retrofits).
- Develop and manage detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with design, facilities, network, and electrical teams for implementation.
- Manage installation of racks, cabling (fiber and copper), containment systems, and structured cabling pathways.
- Ensure compliance with data center standards for power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
- Oversee vendor and contractor activities for fit-outs, MEP installations, and structured cabling works.
- Drive project governance, risk management, and change control processes.
- Regularly report project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and clients.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and operational standards within live data center environments.
- Optimize processes for scalability, quality, and repeatability in infrastructure deployment.
- Interface with customers for requirement gathering, design validation, and delivery sign-off.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering or related field.8–16 years of experience in data center infrastructure project management or colocation build-outs .Proven experience handling rack and cage installations, structured cabling, power distribution (AC / DC), and cooling systems .Strong understanding of data center design principles , capacity planning, and infrastructure standards (TIA-942, BICSI, Uptime Institute).Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Primavera.PMP / PRINCE2 / PgMP certification preferred.Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with colocation environments and customer-specific cage builds.Knowledge of fiber and copper cabling standards (CAT6A, OM4, OS2, etc.).Ability to read and interpret MEP, network, and rack layout drawings.Experience coordinating with vendors, OEMs, and contractors for turnkey infrastructure delivery.Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.Hands-on exposure to change management and operational handover in live data centers.
