Mainframe Architect – Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Mainframe Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of our mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in IBM z / OS environments, and other subsystems. along with a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and modernization strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable and secure mainframe solutions.
• Define and maintain architecture standards, best practices, and governance for mainframe systems.
• Drive mainframe modernization initiatives including re-platforming, re-hosting, and API enablement.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to support teams.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
