Position : Regional Sales Manager

Location : Bangalore (Local candidates only)

Job Summary :

The Regional Manager will be a critical leader for Edence Life Science, responsible for overseeing and driving sales and business development activities across the Karnataka and Bengaluru region. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets. The Regional Manager will lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals and sustainable market growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning & Execution :

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and business objectives for Karnataka and Bengaluru.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis, identify growth opportunities, and formulate strategies to capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics, adapting strategies as needed.

Team Leadership & Development :

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Medical Representatives / Sales Executives.
  • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and market understanding within the team.
  • Foster a positive, results-driven, and collaborative team environment.
  • Sales & Business Development :

  • Drive aggressive sales growth through effective territory management, customer engagement, and product promotion strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors in the region.
  • Identify and onboard new customers and expand market penetration.
  • Oversee product launches and promotional activities within the region.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Manage regional budgets, expenses, and resource allocation efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market feedback to senior management.
  • Utilize CRM tools effectively to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with marketing, medical, and other internal departments to ensure synergistic efforts and optimal market outcomes.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to contribute to product development and marketing strategies.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role within the Karnataka / Bengaluru market.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, regulatory environment, and healthcare landscape in Karnataka and Bengaluru.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
