Test Automation Engineer – Katalon Studio

Job descriptionDesign, build, and maintain automated test frameworks , with a primary focus on Katalon Studio . Create and execute API test cases using tools such as Postman . Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate tests into CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps). Apply and advocate test automation best practices , including Page Object Model (POM) and data-driven testing . Develop and execute test strategies covering unit, integration, system, regression, performance, and security testing. Conduct root cause analysis of defects, identify gaps, and drive improvements in code and testing methodology. Document detailed test plans, test cases, and test results. Work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure rapid, quality-driven delivery. Champion a quality-centric culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Proven experience in test automation , with expertise in Katalon Studio Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools Hands-on experience implementing tests in CI / CD environments Deep understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, regression, performance, security) Skilled in test design patterns and framework structuring (POM, reusable components, data-driven testing) Strong analytical mindset, able to break down complex issues Detail-oriented , with the ability to balance speed and quality Excellent communication and documentation skills Ownership mentality – proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement attitude Comfortable working with teams aligned to +2 GMT timezone
This role requires working in a GMT +2 timezone (7 AM IST to 2 : 30 PM IST)
