To effectively sell Solar rooftop systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly SMEs.
- To work effectively with existing customers (for referrals) and channel partners to identify leads, organise site surveys, offer proposals, close the sale, collect documents for in-house credit (if credit sale), and collect the money.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
To sell rooftop solar systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly targeting SMEsTo inform customers of Orb’s in-house credit option, and use this facility to close sales more quicklyTo ensure monthly targets are met for leads generated (site surveys), orders booked, sales invoiced, and collections achievedTo sell within the stipulated guidelines on money collectionTo work closely with Vice President PV Projects and marketing to organise awareness-raising events with industryTo actively pursue all leads and ensure they are met and the CRM is updated in a timely fashionTo Conduct Initial Site Survey and subsequently organise detailed site surveys and develop proposals in coordination with the in-house technical and operations departmentsTo personally conduct site visits to assess the technical feasibility of the product being offeredTo monitor that installations are proceeding on time, and to the customer’s satisfactionTo ensure overall customer satisfaction with the working of the entire systemTo provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager as and when requiredTo keep a track on competitor offeringsEXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
5-6 years of B2B sales experienceIdeally prior experience in selling Solar Rooftop PV / Ground mounted systemsKnowledge about State Open Access / PoliciesA degree or diploma in electrical engineeringA self-starter with fresh ideas, and lots of initiativeA clear grasp of commercial issues, in addition to technicalA team-playerAble to travel at short notice
