Senior Electrical Engineer

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled

“Senior Electrical Engineer”

with a good understanding of various electronics / electrical components.

Responsibilities

Work on obsolescence activities with higher complexity to qualify replacements, perform testing to qualify and release in the system along with the documentation.

End-to-end ownership : Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions

Design electrical systems to the specifications of our clients, keeping safety and compliance with all local and federal laws and regulations at the forefront of your mind.

Review designs to ensure they will be safe, fit the clients' needs, and remain in compliance.

Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and development.

Identify project risks and perform FMEA or provide mitigation strategy to eliminate risk

Plan each phase of the engineering while coordinating with other team to ensure each deadline is met.

Review documentation of the team and provide guidance

Required Qualification :

Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical with experience of 6-10 years.

Master's degree is preferred with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.

Mandatory Skills :

Must have a good understanding of the electrical & electronics components, schematics / system interconnect.

Must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit requirements.

Hands-on experience in testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test.

Must be up to date on all electrical codes, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Critical / system level thinking.

Good project management skillset and multi-tasking capability

Must be an excellent planner with strong time management skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good to have :

Exposure of working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system. Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence

Understand concepts of Reliability & system engineering

Understanding on PCB and components

Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD / Zuken / PCAD software.
