Job Overview :
We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and help develop a LIMS-like software platform for advanced laboratory workflows and automation. This role will involve both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless API integration and communication between our software and laboratory devices (e.g., library preparation machines and PCR devices). You will work on creating a modern, scalable, and efficient platform that complies with healthcare data standards like HL7 / FHIR .
This role requires proficiency in both front-end and back-end development, API integration, and experience in developing middleware to enable effective communication between software and hardware devices. You’ll collaborate closely with other developers, firmware engineers, and the DevOps team to deliver a cohesive, high-performing solution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Full Stack Development : Develop both front-end user interfaces and back-end services to create a robust and scalable platform.
- Front-end : Develop intuitive, responsive, and modern user interfaces using frameworks such as React
- Back-end : Build and maintain the back-end services using languages like Node.js , Python , or Java , ensuring proper data management and system functionality.
- API Integration : Design and implement RESTful APIs to enable integration with third-party LIMS systems and communication with hardware devices.
- Middleware Development : Create and maintain middleware solutions that facilitate communication between the software platform and connected devices.
- Device Integration : Work with the hardware and embedded systems teams to integrate laboratory devices into the software, ensuring real-time data processing and compatibility with various communication protocols.
- HL7 / FHIR Compliance : Ensure the software’s data handling and transmission follow HL7 and FHIR standards for healthcare interoperability.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the Lead Software Engineer, firmware developers, and the DevOps team to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and deliver software that meets customer requirements.
- Scalability and Performance : Contribute to building a platform that scales effectively for on-premise deployments across multiple clients.
- Security : Follow best practices for data security and privacy, particularly in regulated healthcare environments.
Required Qualifications :
Experience : 1-2 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a proven track record of working on complex, scalable software systems.Front-End Expertise : Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks like React Native, React . Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .Android app development experience would be preferred.Back-End Expertise : Proficient in server-side development using Node.js , Python . Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).API Development : Hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs . Familiarity with API gateways and microservices architecture is a plus.Device Communication : Understanding of device communication protocols (e.g., TCP / IP, USB, serial communication) and experience building middleware for hardware-software integration.HL7 / FHIR : Familiarity with HL7 and FHIR standards, or a willingness to learn, to ensure compliance with healthcare data requirements.Collaboration : Experience working in agile teams, collaborating with engineers, DevOps, and QA teams.Experience working with AWS cloud would be preferred.Preferred Qualifications :
