Job description

We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Media Planning Group Head / Associate Business Director to lead all media planning efforts for our clients. This role is crucial for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns by devising optimal media and execution strategies, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and driving significant returns on advertising spend. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, playing a hands-on role in strategic planning, campaign evaluation, and fostering innovative media solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Client Relationship & Strategy : Act as the single point of contact with clients to service all their media needs. This involves understanding their wants, needs, and objectives to make critical decisions about the most appropriate media channels for specific campaigns.
  • Media Strategy & Execution Maximization : Responsible for maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns by devising the most appropriate media strategy and execution strategy. This includes maximizing returns on advertising cost-effectively and providing inputs for effective promotional activities, while maintaining total cost control on media spends for the client.
  • Hands-on Strategic Planning : Play a hands-on role in drafting and devising annual media strategies, making annual presentations, and conducting campaign evaluations, in addition to regular planning responsibilities.
  • Operational Accountability : Take full operational accountability and maintain complete control of all client-related media activities, both internally and with the client.
  • Innovative Media Solutions : Think creatively and develop innovative strategies to ensure marketing campaigns reach the right target audience in the most effective way possible.
  • Media Suitability Assessment : Assess the impact and suitability of different types of media for targeting specific markets that clients aim to reach.
  • Data Analysis & Insights : Analyze data and information about different media channels, considering consumer behavior, circulation, audience trends, and the impact of various methods.
  • Customer Engagement Strategies : Devise or recommend strategies for effectively using certain media to attract and retain customers, increase brand recognition, and maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Brand Awareness through Media : Apply knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate mediums for building awareness of a client's brand.

Required Skills :

  • Superior knowledge of media theory and media terminology, including traditional and social media reference.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Awareness and knowledge of different media and social media tools and methods to set goals and achieve them.
  • Strong commercial awareness with effective organizational abilities.
