Program Overview :

WRI India, has deep experience in the energy sector and on climate change across several topic areas and is widely recognized as a leader on energy and climate issues. In India, we have a multi-pronged energy strategy that looks strategically at directing our tools, research, expertise, and partnerships to support India’s clean energy transition across varied economic activities like extraction, production, distribution, consumption and waste management; in ensuring universal access to reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity and minimizing energy losses and thereby contributing to energy planning and policy analysis. The objective of WRI India energy program is to inform and guide India’s clean energy transition. Through strong research, ground-level implementation experience, partnerships with key stakeholders and communicating our work, we seek to achieve impact at scale.

The Energy Program at WRI India is seeking an enthusiastic & dedicated professional to work on

initiatives that help address key issues in the Indian energy sector.

What you will do :

The colleague will be part of a focused team working on conducting policy, regulatory and technical analyses of developments connected to the Indian energy sector that are aligned to WRI India’s 5-year strategy. A non-exhaustive set of activities that the colleague would be involved in are given below -

Analytical Work :

• Provide specific inputs to analytical work for the WRI India Energy Team based on guidance from team members. Such work may include techno-economic analysis, review and analysis of policy and regulatory frameworks, analysis of government budgets, energy balances, preparation of renewable and energy efficiency resources assessment and planning, contribution to the design of renewable energy financing instruments, and related work.

Engagement with Decision-makers :

What you will need :

The ideal colleague will have 1-2 Years of experience in the energy sector with exposure to areas of policy analyses, regulations, and understanding the support mechanisms for the sector.

Location : Delhi, India

Duration : 1 years as term hire extendable based on performance and project requirements.

Salary and Benefits : 750000 - 940000 INR CTC Per annum

Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
