About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Engineer to join our technology team. The role involves managing and supporting Level 2 / 3 solutions across highly available platforms and business-critical products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AS400 systems, database technologies, and modern automation practices, while also contributing to infrastructure management, security, and system Responsibilities :

• Provide Level 2 / 3 support for AS400 platform including batch processing, job scheduling, and reporting.
• Manage and maintain DB2 for IBM and SQL Server databases.
• Work with LANSA applications (highly regarded but not essential).
• Support Java-based applications and Apache Tomcat (Java Web Application server).
• Perform Windows Server management and administration.
• Implement and maintain observability, logging, and monitoring tools.
• Manage SSL certificates, vulnerability remediation, and patching processes.
• Conduct capacity planning and management for systems and applications.
• Ensure disaster recovery and high availability strategies are in place.
• Work with APIs and support integration-related initiatives.
• Provide exposure and support for Akamai, SSO, Load Balancers (F5), and Firewalls.
• Use ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence for IT service and project management.
• Manage AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift).
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Implement DevOps practices using CI / CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS Skills & Experience :
• Proven experience as a Platform / AS400 Engineer in a highly available production environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS400 platform and DB2 / SQL Server databases.
• Hands-on expertise in automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and Java / Tomcat applications.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps CI / CD tools.
• Experience with vulnerability management, SSL certificates, and system patching.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to Qualifications :
• Exposure to LANSA development.
• Experience with APIs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSO solutions.
• Familiarity with capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and working knowledge of ServiceNow.
