About the role

Enterprise Server Operations Engineer

role involves advanced troubleshooting, automation, system optimization, and participation in infrastructure design and implementation. Engineer also mentors junior staff and plays a key role in maintaining uptime, performance, and security of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise server systems (Windows and Linux) on-premises and cloud.

Perform advanced troubleshooting of server, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure issues.

Automate operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

Design and implement improvements in system performance, patch management, and monitoring.

Manage and optimize virtualization platforms

Support hybrid and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Collaborate on system security hardening and compliance with enterprise policies.

Participate in capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery strategy.

Mentor and guide junior engineers (Zonal IT and EUT) on technical issues and best practices.

Serve as an escalation point for complex incidents and change management processes.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience : 4–7 years in server administration, enterprise systems, or IT infrastructure engineering.

Technical Skills :

Strong expertise with server operating systems (Linux and Windows)

Advanced knowledge and administration of O365, AD, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file / print services.

Basic of Networking (Router, Switches, IPSec Tunnels, VPN, Cloud network)

Experience with Citrix, VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix platforms.

Solid understanding of backup / recovery tools, monitoring systems, and patch management.

Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure or AWS (IaaS and hybrid integrations).

Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Certifications (Preferred) : MCSE, RHCSA / RHCE, VMware VCP, AWS SysOps Administrator, or Azure Administrator Associate.
