Job description

About the Role :

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our Mumbai-based engineering team and design the architecture for a global, multi-tenant payment platform integrating both traditional and crypto-based transaction capabilities.

You will be responsible for designing robust distributed systems, scalable microservices, optimized databases, and cloud infrastructure, while ensuring seamless payment switch operations including cross-border and crypto payment flows.

This is a hands-on architectural leadership role in a rapidly growing fintech environment, offering you the opportunity to shape the next generation of payments technology onsite in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop the end-to-end architecture for a multi-tenant, global payment platform supporting fiat and crypto transactions.
  • Architect microservices and distributed database solutions for high-volume, real-time payment processing.
  • Build, integrate, and enhance the payment switch and routing layer for cross-border and multi-currency transaction flow.
  • Embed crypto payment gateways and blockchain settlement capabilities into the core payments system.
  • Implement robust multi-tenancy frameworks for scalability, security, and efficient resource management.
  • Design and maintain cloud-native infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP) and DevSecOps automation onsite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence (PCI?DSS, AML / KYC, FATF, crypto regulations).
  • Establish monitoring, tracing, and resilience standards for all core systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 510 years of experience in solution / software architecture within payments or fintech domains.
  • Practical experience with payment switch design, transaction routing, and settlement systems.
  • Strong expertise in microservices architecture, distributed system design, and database modeling.
  • Working knowledge of crypto payment flows, blockchain integrations, and digital asset security.
  • Hands-on proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of multi-tenant architecture, security, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to work onsite full-time in Mumbai.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with ISO 8583, ISO?20022, or real-time payment protocols.
  • Background in crypto-to-fiat bridge architectures and blockchain integration projects.
  • Exposure to payment gateway and orchestration system implementation.
  • Relevant certifications (AWS Solution Architect, Blockchain Architect, etc.).
