Main MEP System Designer

Job Description

The Associate MEP Main is a key member of the team responsible for the design and execution of HVAC systems.

Key responsibilities include :

• Understanding user requirements and collecting information related to all MEP Works.
• Staging 1 review drawings and BOQ submitted by consultants, ME / Plant teams for further approval from the MEP head.
• Having knowledge of item rates based on market prices of HVAC systems and initiating technical recommendations for vendor finalization.

Other key responsibilities include arranging kick-off meetings with consultants, vendors, and plant teams to start projects, executing, monitoring, and handing over HVAC, utility piping, FAPA system, STP, ETP, ZLD & electrical services works to ensure timely completion.

Additionally, the Associate MEP Main role involves coordination with external agencies, including conducting site visits and meetings with users to understand requirements, ensuring 100% safety of workers during execution, and validating bills as per BOQ and PO against actual usage.

Furthermore, they prepare snag lists, coordinate with vendors to complete pending work, and hand over completed projects to plant teams with relevant documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Required skills for this role include proficiency in MS Office packages, AutoCAD, SAP, MS Project, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in HVAC system design and execution is also required, along with knowledge of ASHRAE, IS Code, IEC code, NBC, NFPA, Green building codes, CPCB / SPCB, CGWA / SGWA.
