Data Engineer - Google Cloud Platform

Senior GCP Data Engineer Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery (BQ), and ETL pipeline development. The role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performing data pipelines, enabling seamless data flow from ingestion to delivery.

This is an individual contributor role, suited for engineers who thrive in solving complex data challenges and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work closely with business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to validate, cleanse, and optimize datasets.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers.
• Develop and optimize ETL / ELT processes using GCP native tools and frameworks.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance standards across pipelines.
• Optimize BigQuery performance, query design, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
• Document solutions, data flows, and best practices for ongoing Skills & Qualifications :
• 8 - 12 years of total data engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in :

1. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data engineering.

2. BigQuery (BQ) for data modeling, performance tuning, and analytics.

3. ETL / ELT pipeline design & development.
