We want someone who actually gives a damn about design, understands brand language, can edit videos without crying over timelines, and can turn vague client chaos into clean, high-impact visuals.

Pekaabo is a fast-moving, zero-BS marketing agency working with clients across SEO, AI, tech, hospitality, and global brands. We don’t micromanage, but we do expect you to think, take ownership, and deliver work that isn’t embarrassing.

Who We’re Actually Looking For

A designer who is :

Comfortable switching between UI design, creative design, and video editing without melting down.

Fast, reliable, and doesn’t write “final_v12_last_revised_final_FINAL.mp4”.

Obsessed with clean aesthetics, grid systems, color balance, typography, and storytelling.

Able to make visuals that stop people mid-scroll — not things that look like generic template soup.

Comfortable with ambiguity. Agencies move fast; you can’t be someone who needs a 3-page brief for a 3-inch banner.

A problem solver — not a “Let me know what to do next” intern mindset.

Your Day-to-Day (a.k.a. the real list, not HR fairy tales)

Design high-quality creatives for ads, websites, landing pages, social content, and marketing campaigns.

Create clean UI layouts, brand identity visuals, pitch decks, and sales assets.

Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and client campaigns.

Add motion graphics, transitions, storytelling, and audio that actually feels intentional — not random.

Improve design consistency across brands and campaigns.

Adapt to different design styles depending on the brand (minimalistic, bold, premium, playful — whatever the job needs).

Work closely with the marketing / SEO team to create campaign-ready assets.

Manage your own deadlines without excuses.

Skills You Need (Yes, You Actually Need Them)

Design

Strong grasp of layout, spacing, color psychology, and visual hierarchy.

Ability to create polished designs from scratch (not template remixes).

UI / UX fundamentals

Branding + identity understanding

Illustration basics are a bonus

Tools

Figma (non-negotiable)

Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator

Premiere Pro or Final Cut

After Effects

CapCut for speed if necessary — we’re not elitists as long as results look premium.

Video Editing

Cutting, pacing, transitions, b-roll sourcing

Color grading + sound design

Reels / TikTok editing — short-form mastery is a must

Hook building + storytelling sense

Experience

1–2 years minimum (agency experience is a plus, but not mandatory)

As long as your portfolio shows taste, skill, and range — we care more about what you can create than where you've worked.
