About Us-

Prof K. R Sundararajan, a well-known educationalist established the I.I.E.T society in 1947. The total area of 14 acres purchased with enormous hardship was donated to the IIET Society to further the cause of education. The society’s main objective is to give quality education and has ensured this uninterrupted since 1951. The society currently has the following institutions : -

1.      Meenakshi College For Women established in 1975 & affiliated to University of Madras offering Arts & Science programs with about 3000 plus students.

2.      Meenakshi Sundarajan Engineering College established in 2001 & affiliated to Anna University offering engineering programs with about 2000 plus students.

3.      Meenakshi Sundarajan School of Management established in 2000 & affiliated to University of Madras offering MBA programs with about 120 plus students.

4.      The NEST School established in 2022 offering IB (International Baccalaureate) & CAIE (Cambridge) boards.

All of the institutions have earned an enviable name and are rated as one among Top 10 colleges in the Tamil Nadu state in their respective programs. Efforts are on to make the campus carbon neutral in 2 years (end of 2025) by using our community of staff and students.

This Job Description (JD) is specifically tailored to the hybrid leadership role you need—a person who is both the strategic Brand Architect and the executional Creative Director for premium, innovative digital campaigns across your diverse group of institutions.

Job Description : Creative Lead, Digital Campaigns (Brand Strategy & Art Direction)

Reports To : Group Head of Marketing / CEO / Secretary

Location : Kodambakkam

Role Type : Full-Time, Leadership (Player-Coach)

Salary : 50k – 1L

Role Summary

The Creative Lead is the singular vision holder responsible for defining, protecting, and executing the premium visual and narrative identity across all institutional sub-brands (Engineering, MBA, School, Arts & Science). This role is a hybrid of a Content Strategist and an Art Director, requiring a visionary who can develop innovative, out-of-the-box messaging and translate it into high-impact, rich digital creatives for social media and campaigns. The Lead will guide the internal execution team (designers, editors) but will primarily focus on conceptualization and quality control.

This individual will be the Brand Architect, responsible for setting the tone and high standard that resonates with a sophisticated, premium target audience, while leading and guiding the internal execution team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

I. Brand Strategy & Conceptual Innovation (The “Messaging”)

  • Premium Narrative Development : Define the core, high-level Brand Message that speaks directly to a premium and luxury target audience. This messaging must convey value, prestige, and exclusivity, moving beyond typical educational marketing
  • Brand Narrative Development : Define the core, overarching Brand Message for the entire group of institutions, ensuring consistency while allowing each sub-brand (e.g., MBA vs. School) to have a distinct, appropriate voice.
  • Out-of-the-Box Ideation : Lead the conceptualization of major digital campaigns, generating innovative and unconventional creative messaging that cuts through noise and positions the institutions as premium leaders.
  • Campaign Messaging Matrix : Develop the key communication hierarchy for all digital channels, ensuring every creative piece aligns with a strategic goal (e.g., Admissions, Reputation, Community).
  • Trend Translation : Monitor emerging social media trends, and innovatively adapt them into sophisticated, brand-appropriate messaging and content formats (e.g., converting a viral audio trend into a rich, educational narrative).

II. Creative Direction & Quality Control (The “Premium Look”)

  • Art Direction for Luxury : Directly guide and enforce the rigorous rich, premium, and luxury aesthetic across all final creatives. This includes defining and approving high-end typography, minimalist design principles, and cinematic standards for video content.
  • Visual Identity Enforcement : Act as the final gatekeeper for all creative output, ensuring rigorous adherence to established brand guidelines, tone, and the required rich, premium aesthetic.
  • Art Direction : Provide clear, actionable feedback and direction to the execution team (designers, videographers, copywriters) on typography, color palette, composition, photography style, and overall visual hierarchy.
  • Production Quality : Dictate the standards for high-quality production, including directing professional photoshoots and video shoots to ensure the use of original, high-resolution assets over generic stock imagery.
  • Multi-Platform Adaptation : Ensure creative concepts are flawlessly translated across different digital formats, optimizing visuals and messaging for specific platforms (e.g., LinkedIn vs. Instagram Reels).
  • III. Team Leadership & Workflow

  • Creative Briefing : Develop clear, detailed creative briefs based on strategic goals, providing the execution team with a strong foundation for design and production.
  • Mentorship & Development : Upskill the existing execution team, fostering a culture of high standards and continually pushing the boundary of the group’s creative output.
  • Stakeholder Presentation : Confidently present and defend creative concepts, strategic rationale, and final assets to senior management and institutional heads.
  • Required Experience & Skillset

    Essential Experience

  • 5-8+ Years in a senior creative role (Creative Lead, Associate Creative Director, or Senior Art Director) within an agency or a demanding in-house marketing department.
  • Luxury / Premium Sector Background : Proven track record of conceptualizing and executing campaigns for brands in luxury goods, high-end real estate, financial services, or prestige education.
  • Strong Digital Focus : Proven history of leading and directing high-quality, high-volume social media and digital campaign creative.
  • Portfolio Excellence : A robust portfolio showcasing work for multiple sub-brands or clients within diverse industries (e.g., corporate / finance, education, luxury lifestyle), demonstrating range and the ability to maintain a unified, premium look.
  • Conceptual Depth : Demonstrated ability to not just execute, but to invent the creative narrative from a blank slate.
