Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage all Technical Services, Quality Control, and Product Development activities.
  • Define and implement technical strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to international quality and industry standards (API, ISO, ASTM, etc.).

2. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Oversee quality systems across manufacturing units, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate testing protocols for steel pipes, coatings, welding, and NDT.
  • Ensure traceability and integrity of inspection, testing, and certification processes.

    • 3. New Product Development & Innovation

  • Drive innovation in materials, processes, and product designs.
  • Lead R&D efforts for new products catering to Oil & Gas industry applications.
  • Explore and develop hydrogen-compatible products, including collaboration with H₂ labs.

    • 4. Metallurgical Expertise

  • Apply advanced metallurgical knowledge for troubleshooting, process optimization, and material selection.
  • Analyse and resolve technical issues related to steel properties, fabrication, and performance.

    • 5. Client & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary technical contact for key clients, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries and issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors for quality assurance, technical compliance, and process enhancements.
  • Provide technical inputs for tenders, proposals, and customer specifications.

    • 6. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, industry, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Keep abreast of emerging standards, technologies, and best practices in the Oil & Gas and hydrogen energy sectors.
