Role Purpose :
We are seeking a seasoned Knowledge Management Leader with 10–15 years of experience in the CPG / Process industry, who can drive the strategic development and execution of a global Knowledge Management CoE. The leader will partner with Global Process and Capability Owners, business units, operating / functional leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), L&D, HR and other stakeholders to build, deploy and drive knowledge management processes and practices. This role is pivotal in enabling, developing and executing comprehensive knowledge management strategies to enhance the organization's operational efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with Diageo's business objectives.
- Manage and maintain the enterprise-wide process taxonomy and documentation standards using technology applications and platforms.
- Champion the adoption and integration of knowledge management tools and platforms to enhance knowledge accessibility, process transparency, and decision-making.
- Oversee the collection, curation, organization, and maintenance of a centralized, accessible, and accurate knowledge repository.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Digital & Technology, Global Process Owners (GPOs), and Business Excellence to embed knowledge management practices.
- Foster a knowledge-sharing culture by facilitating collaboration, leading communities of practice, and promoting continuous learning.
- Strategic stakeholder and change management across multiple levels of organizational hierarchy to drive partnership with business units, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and ensure content aligns with user need
Process & Technology Integration
Oversee the deployment, integration, maintenance of process / knowledge management tools to streamline operations / knowledge management.Ensure best practices in process documentation, standardization, and optimization.Design and deliver training programs to build documentation and knowledge management capabilities across global teams.Governance & Compliance
Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with global standards in knowledge management.Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in knowledge assets across markets.Monitor adherence to policies related to data integrity and security.Monitor knowledge management effectiveness through KPIs and analytics, driving continuous improvement and innovation in knowledge practices.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement.Engage stakeholders at all levels to promote the value of effective knowledge management practices.Team Development & Leadership
Lead a team of knowledge management professionals, providing mentorship and development opportunities.Drive performance through clear objectives, feedback, and recognition.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or related field.10-15 years of experience in process / knowledge management domains.Proven track record in managing knowledge processes using tools like ARIS / SAP Signavio / Celonis etc .Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.Strong understanding of process principles, documentation standards, and taxonomy frameworks.Experience in leading global KM initiatives and managing knowledge repositories.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive insights.Fluent in English;additional languages (e.G., Spanish, Hungarian) are a plus.
Skills & Competencies :
Expertise in process modelling standards such as BPMN.Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Proficiency / certifications in project management methodologies (e.G. PMP / Prince II).Certifications in Lean Six Sigma & Business Process Quality ManagementAbility to drive change initiatives effectively within large organizations and PROSCI Change Management certification can be an advantage.
