Job Title : Admissions Counsellor – Office of Admissions

Experience : 3–7 Years

Reports To : Team Lead

Role Objective :

To guide and counsel prospective students and their parents through the admissions journey – from application to enrolment – by offering programme-specific insights, personalised advice, and seamless support.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead Nurturing and Counselling

Engage with qualified leads received from the telecalling team to provide detailed counselling about academic programmes.

Understand student aspirations and recommend suitable programmes or schools.

Assist applicants in uploading documents, and paying application fees.

2. Selection Process Coordination

Identify candidates for eligibility as per the programme-specific criteria set by the schools.

Coordinate school-specific selection procedures such as entrance tests, portfolio reviews, or interviews in consultation with the respective schools.

Update scores and selection outcomes in CRM and ensure timely offer letter issuance.

3. Conversion and Admission Support

Explain details on tuition, skill, and examination fees, scholarships, and concession policies.

Guide students through registration, instalment payments, and original document verification.

Facilitate open-house interactions and campus visits, connecting prospects with deans and faculty.

4. Documentation and Compliance

Verify applicant documents against checklists before forwarding to the Admissions Office.

Support the admissions completion process and ensure adherence to UGC and RVU norms.

5. Withdrawal and Refund Support

Assist students / parents in withdrawal procedures, ensuring policy adherence and documentation accuracy.

Required Skills and Competencies :

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a student-centric approach.

Strong understanding of academic structures, admission policies, and programme differentiators.

Ability to manage multiple applicants and maintain high conversion accuracy.

Proficiency in CRM and MS Office tools.

Problem-solving ability and empathy while handling parent / student concerns.

Educational Qualification :

Graduate or Postgraduate.

Prior experience in university admissions, counselling, or student relationship management preferred.
