Director CSIT

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

Develop and implement strategic plans for the CSIT department in alignment with institutional goals.

Foster innovation in teaching, learning, and research in emerging areas of Computer Science and IT.

Lead the development of new academic programs and research initiatives.

Academic and Research Oversight :

Oversee curriculum design, course development, and accreditation processes.

Promote high-quality research and secure funding through grants and industry collaboration.

Support faculty in scholarly activities and professional development.

Administrative and Operational Management :

Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and policy implementation.

Recruit, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff.

Ensure compliance with institutional, national, and international standards.

Collaboration and External Engagement :

Build partnerships with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions.

Represent the department at national and international forums and conferences.

Drive initiatives related to internships, placements, and alumni engagement.

Technology and Infrastructure :

Oversee the implementation and management of IT infrastructure used in teaching and research.

Ensure cybersecurity, data governance, and tech-enabled learning environments.

Qualifications :

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security

Ph.D year should be before 2018.

Minimum of 10 years of academic or industry experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles.

5 Publications in scopus / sci journals.

2 guided students should be completed.

Proven track record of academic excellence, research, and / or innovation in CSIT.

Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.

Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc.).
